Mumbai: Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has surpassed Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani to become the richest person in Asia. He has overtaken Mukesh Ambani in terms of group market cap to become the richest man.

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani is the richest Indian since June 2015. Gautam Adani has become the number one richest person in Asia after a sharp jump in Adani Group shares and a fall in Reliance Industries on Wednesday.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Mukesh Ambani’s net worth as of Tuesday (November 23) was 91.9.1 billion, while Adani’s net worth stood at $88,88,8 billion, which is 2.4 percent less than Ambani. However, RIL shares fell 1.72 per cent on Wednesday, while most of the Adani group companies gained momentum, taking Gautam Adani to the top.

Shares of Adani Enterprises rose 2.34 per cent, while Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone gained 4 per cent. With today’s increase, the market cap of these two companies is around Rs 3.5 lakh crore.

According to the report, in the last 20 months, Gautam Adani’s net worth has increased by 1808 percent to US $ 8338.89 million. During this, the total assets of Mukesh Ambani increased by 250 percent to 54,54.7 billion.
