Imran Khan’s friend convicted of rape

A friend of the Pakistani Prime Minister and the controversial British leader has been found guilty of criminal injustice on two counts. Lord Nazir was convicted Wednesday of sexually assaulting a boy and attempting to rape a girl twice in the 1970s. Pakistani-born Lord Nazir Ahmed has often been brought up for discussion for his venomous remarks against India. In addition, he was once embroiled in controversy over the death of the Indian Prime Minister.

What’s happening?

The court ruled that the allegations against former British Labor leader Lord Nazir and his two brothers Mohammed Farooq and Mohammed Tariq were true. Both von Nazir’s brothers were unable to attend the trial for reasons of age. A woman had alleged in court that Nazir Ahmed tried to seduce her in 1973 and 1974. Notably, Nazir Hade was also 16-17 years old at the time, and the victim girl was younger than him. Nazir was also convicted of serious sexual abuse and unnatural sex with a child in 1972. A British court is due to hear the case on February 4th.
