  • Before the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, the old teams returned the list of players
  • Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Pollard return for Mumbai Indians
  • Mumbai Indians wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan has also been released

New Delhi: Before the mega auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, the old teams have released the list of retained players. Big players like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant have been retained by their teams. While players like Rashid Khan, David Warner, Hardik Pandya, Shikhar Dhawan have been released.

According to the list, in the Indian Premier League 2022, Hardik Pandya and Kunal Pandya can be seen playing for some other franchise instead of Mumbai Indians. According to media reports, Mumbai Indians have not been particularly interested in the Pandya Brothers and have not been retained by the most successful IPL franchises. Apart from this, Mumbai Indians wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan has also been released. While Suryakumar Yadav has also made a comeback. Mumbai Indians have retained Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Pollard.

Hardik Pandya and Kunal Pandya did not perform well in the IPL last season. Hardik has to pay the price for his poor form by leaving the team. Hardik was part of the Indian team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 but was ruled out of the series against New Zealand due to poor form.

Hyderabad did not return Rashid Khan:
Apart from this, Sunrisers Hyderabad also did not return Rashid Khan in IPL 2022. Rashid Khan has not played for any other franchise in the IPL. Rashid Khan will go to IPL auction this year. Rashid Khan is considered one of the best bowlers in the world. Other franchises will be excited for Rashid Khan during the auction.

The important point here is that the retention offer of the franchise is not the only issue, for this the player has to accept the offer.
