After which you will have to pay more than now to subscribe. Its effect will also be seen on telecom companies. These are the telecom companies that are offering free subscription to Amazon Prime with their recharge plans.
The thing here is that till now the telecom companies giving Amazon Prime subscription along with the recharge plan will also be forced to increase the price of the plans. Which will have a direct impact on millions of users.
In this regard, Airtel is currently offering free Amazon Prime subscription on its 131 and 349 prepaid plans, while it is also offering the same on its 499, 599 and 1599 postpaid plans. Now the price is likely to increase further.
Veteran telecom company Jio is offering Amazon Prime subscription on its postpaid and broadband plans. Its postpaid plans include 399, 599, 799, 1499 plans. This offer is included in broadband’s 999, 1499, 2499, 3999 and 8499 plans. Vodafone-Idea is offering Amazon Prime in its postpaid plans like 499, 699, 1099, 649, 799, 999 and 1399. All these plans can add up to the cost.
Talking about Amazon Prime, the price of its monthly subscription plan has been increased from 129 to 179. The cost of quarterly plan has been increased from Rs 329 to Rs 459. The annual subscription price which was available at Rs 999 has been increased to Rs 1499. The increase in the subscription rates by the company is also expected to increase the cost of the plans offered by the telcos.
