MumbaiIn the name of Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Smriti Pratishthan, the prestigious Dinanath Mangeshkar award ceremony was held at Dinanath Mangeshkar Natyagriha in Vile Parle. Veterans in the fields of music, drama, arts and social affairs were honored on this occasion. Actress Nana Patekar was honored with a special award at the event. This year, the Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Award (Lifetime Achievement Award) for music and art was given to the composer Pyarelal Sharma (Laxmikant-Pyarelal) for his dedication to the Indian music and film industry.

The Vagvilasini Sahitya Puraskar was given to Santosh Anand, while the poet Neerja received the award for her contribution to poetry and literature. DR.
