No KL Rahul for testing, replacement announced; New experiments in the team !!

The first test to be played after Rahul Dravid takes over as coach is likely to be a big test for the Indian team. India will do without a major senior player for the series. The first test starts on Thursday in Kanpur. India beat New Zealand 3-0 in the first T20 series after the World Cup. In the absence of Varad Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane leads India for the test series.

No KL Rahul

Opener KL Rahul, who is in good shape, will not play in the test series. Rahul’s resignation is due to an injury to his leg muscles. Rahul was reportedly injured in the third T20I against New Zealand. With Rohit Sharma and Rahul absent, the new opening pair will play. There will also be a change in midfield.

Shubhman Gill will be the opener

Had KL Rahul played, Shubhman Gill, who would probably have been in the middle, would have started again. Shubhman and Mayank Agarwal will be India’s starters in the two-test series. Gill, who excelled in the test series in Australia, lost his place when Rahul started. Gill is seen as the future of test cricket.
