Reliance Industries posted a net profit of Rs 13,680 crore in the September quarter

MUMBAI: Reliance Industries posted a net profit of Rs 13,680 crore in the September quarter, up 43 per cent year-on-year. The profit reported by the company has exceeded the expectations of the analysts. Reliance, which operates in sectors ranging from oil to telecom, increased its revenue by 48 percent to Rs 1.74 lakh crore in the quarter.

The company’s quarterly growth has been higher year-on-year due to the rapidly recovering economic situation after the second wave of Corona, as well as lower figures for the same quarter last year. The company posted an operating profit of Rs 30,283 crore, up 30 per cent over the same quarter last year. The company’s chairman Mukesh Ambani said the second quarter figures reflect the company’s capability as well as the recovery in the Indian economy globally.

Reliance Retail’s revenue also grew 9.2 per cent to Rs 39,926 crore in the September quarter. Its operating profit rose 45.2 per cent to Rs 2,913 crore. Jio also recorded a revenue of Rs 19,777 crore during this period. Its operating profit stood at Rs 9,294 crore. Its per user revenue has also increased to Rs 143.6. Jio users also reached 4295 million with an increase of 238 million.
