Dubai: Rohit Sharma has become a personal success at the end of India’s battle for the T20 World Championship. Rohit came up with half a century in the last game against Namibia. Rohit is the second Indian batsman to have reached 3,000 runs in T20 international cricket. Rohit is behind Virat Kohli. Kohli tops the list with 3,227 runs, followed by New Zealander Martin Guptill with 3,115 runs. Rohit has achieved 3,001 runs so far. Should he play against New Zealand in the upcoming series, Rohit could overtake the runner-up.

Rohit is the fastest batsman to reach 3,000 runs in the international T20I. He is also the top runner for India at the T20 World Championships. Rohit also holds the record for most catches by an Indian in T20I. Rohit was the player who scored the most runs when the team won. Rohit’s 2,388 runs were also scored when the team won.

Virat Kohli resigns as T20 captain with the game against Namibia. Rohit Sharma becomes the new captain of India. Kohli will take over the captaincy of MS Dhoni in 2017. Kohli then went on to win series against England, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Kohli is the second best captain behind Dhoni.
