Dubai: South Africa defeated the West Indies with 8 wickets in the Super 12 match of the ICC T20 World Cup. The Windies scored 143 for 8 points in the allotted 20 overs. South Africa hit the target in 18.2 overs for losing 2 wickets. South Africa won the litter and was elected to the field. With the second defeat, the half-probability of the West Indies faded.

The West Indies got off to a great start in a friendly place. However, the West Indies count slowed down as South African bowlers tightened their grip on Pathover. Evin Lewis was the top scorer with 56 of 35 balls. Lendl Simmons (16) and Kieron Pollard (26) are the other players who have made significant contributions to the team. Pretoriaus took 3 wickets and Keshav Maharaj took 2 wickets for South Africa. Antich Norte, who took a wicket for only 14 runs in 4 overs, bowled brilliantly.

In response, South Africa quickly lost Captain Themba Bauma, but the later batsmen shone. Reese Henriquez (39), Russie van der Dawson (43) and Aiden Markram (51) were the keys to victory. All of the West Indies bowlers were discolored. The Windies, who reached the World Cup with the Superstars, did poorly in the first two games. Only if they win the remaining three games can they expect a semi-final chance.
