Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh in the Super 12 match

Sharjah: Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh in the Super 12 game. Hitting first, Bangladesh scored 174 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs, while Sri Lanka hit the target in 18.5 overs for losing 5 wickets. Victory was inevitable for both teams competing in Group 1. It’s not easy to step up from a group with the toughest teams. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh won as many games as possible to secure a place at the World Cup.

Bangladesh lost the litter and was voted into the field. Opener Mohammad Naeem scored 62 of 52 balls. Mustafiqwir Rahim scored 57 of 37 balls. For Sri Lanka, Chamika Karunaratne, Binura Fernando and Lahiru Kumara each took a wicket. Karunaratne and Lahiru Kumara bowled well.

In response, the Sri Lankan batsmen came out on top. Nisanka (24), Charit Alalanka (80) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (53) were the other notable contributions. Leaving multiple catches behind was the main reason for Bangladesh’s defeat. Shakib Al Hasan bowled well again. He took two wickets. None of the other bowlers could achieve the standard.
