David Warner played an important role in making the Australian cricket team the T20 World Champion for the first time by scoring an aggressive half-century. The final of the T20 World Cup was played between Australia and New Zealand on Sunday. Australia won the trophy by eight wickets. Warner was adjudged Player of the Tournament.

David Warner scored 289 runs in seven innings at an average of 146.70. Warner was seen on the offensive side and gave Australia an expected start in the key matches of the tournament. Warner scored a total of three half-centuries in the tournament and was instrumental in making Australia the T20 champions.

Warner came to the World Cup with poor form. He played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League but was not included in the playing XI in the final matches due to poor form. IPL-2021 has been a very disappointing tournament for Warner. He was dropped from the captaincy and was later sidelined due to poor form.

Warner’s wife Candice has also responded to Warner’s critics. He shared a picture of Warner with the Player of the Tournament on his Instagram page, writing, “Out of form, too old and slow!” That is, formless, age-appropriate and very slow. Warner played a half-century in 38 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes. On the left, Mitchell Marsh worked hard to take Australia to the title. Marsh made an unbeaten 77 off 50 balls and played a match-winning innings.
