The kiwis stalled after a good start; Herschel is hoping for a debut

The Kiwis could not use their excellent start in the second T20. The team scored 153 runs for losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. The openers Martin Guptill and Daryl Mitchell showed an outstanding performance in power play. Guptill scored 31 of 15 balls. Mitchell was fired for 31 balls out of 28.

Glenn Phillips (34) and Mark Chapman (21) also shone for New Zealand. Herschelle Patel made his debut for India. He took two wickets for 25 runs in four overs. All bowlers each took a wicket for India. Ashwin, who took a wicket for only 19 runs, continued his good form.
