- Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya does not bowl after injury
- Hardik will be ready before India’s T20 World Cup campaign starts, says Rohit Sharma
- Indian team will start their campaign against Pakistan on Sunday
Rohit Sharma said, ‘Hardik Pandya is quite fit now but he will take some time to start bowling. They haven’t started bowling yet but will be ready before the start of the tournament. We have important bowlers but the team needs an option in the form of the sixth bowler.
Virat Kohli’s team will start their campaign against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup on Sunday. However, Hardik Pandya’s fitness is a matter of concern for the Indian team as he cannot bowl. He did not bowl a single ball during IPL-2021. The team management has repeatedly said that Hardik Pandya’s bowling is very important for the balance of the team.
India played its second warm-up match on Wednesday ahead of the T20 World Cup match against Pakistan. In which he trampled Australia by nine wickets. Captain Virat Kohli was rested for the match while the team was led by Rohit Sharma. Apart from Kohli, fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shamin were also rested.
“We want to make sure that there is an option available as the sixth bowler,” said Rohit Sharma. So we will try to achieve that in the practice match against Australia. India registered a seven-wicket win against England in the first warm-up match.
